Our spider crane hire service provides a UNIC mini crawler crane with experienced, CPCS or NPORS qualified operator for lifting operations across the UK. The crane arrives on our transport, is rigged and set up by our team, and operated throughout the works.

Spider cranes are compact, tracked lifting machines specifically designed for restricted-access lifting. They combine genuine lifting capacity (up to 2.9 tonnes with the UNIC URW-295) with a remarkably small footprint.

When To Use a Spider Crane

• Access is too restricted for a conventional mobile crane
• The crane needs to pass through a doorway, gate or narrow passage
• You need to lift indoors or within an enclosed courtyard/atrium
• Road closures or permits for a large crane aren’t practical
• Floor or ground loadings won’t support heavier equipment
• The site is in a residential area, conservation zone or city centre
• Zero-emission operation is required (electric mode)
